In the 16th International Award on Cultural Research, the "Emad Afrough Award" is awarded to the best works in the field of criticism.

The 16th International Award on Cultural Research, with the approval of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the head of the festival, awards the "Emad Afrough Award" to the best research works in the "Criticism and Cultural Policymaking" field.

According to the public relations announcement of the festival, the purpose of this award is to celebrate the scientific status and honor the intellectual efforts of Emad Afrough as a committed and indigenous thinker and sociologist and to strengthen the discourse of the Islamic Revolution in the field of cultural research and to stabilize the "criticism within discourse" research with a committed orientation. It is related to the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic. Another goal of this award is to train native researchers concerned about the specific issues of Iranian society and to support research in the cultural pathology of Iranian society.

Researchers and authors can send their research works on cultural criticism and policy through the website of the 16th International Festival of Cultural Research (address: IFCR.IR). The deadline for submitting works is October 7, 2023.

 

 

In addition to being a prominent sociologist, "Emad Afrough" had a particular interest in the thoughts of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Revolution. Afrough made extensive scientific and political efforts to match the ideals of the "Islamic Revolution" and the realities of the "Islamic Republic." Ayatollah Khamenei, supreme leader of Iran, praised the "intellectual efforts" of this "revolutionary scientist." Afarugh's considerable scientific works for the sociological analysis of the Islamic Revolution and the cultural issues of the Islamic Republic of Iran have caused him to be known as the "Sociologist of the Islamic Revolution."
 

 

 The works made under one of the topics of the CFP of the 16th festival between March 2019 and September 2023 can participate.

Research works can be as a research project, a master's thesis, a doctoral dissertation, a book (derived from a research project), a scientific research paper (highly cited), or a policy report. Pathological and applied works that propose solutions to cultural problems are given priority.
