Director of the international section of the 16th International Award on Cultural Research was appointed.

The secretary of the 16th IACR, Dr. Qasem Zaeri, appointed Mohammad Reza Bahmani as the Director of the international section of the 16th International Award.

Qasem Zaeri, Chairman of Culture, Art and Communication Research Institute and IACR Secretary, in his order of appointment, defined the following actions as the primary duties of the international section:

• Introduction of the IACR at the international level
• Identification of prominent research in the field of Islam and Iran abroad
• Evaluation of the research accurately and scientifically by using the capacities of prominent academic scholars and clergypersons to introduce selected researchers.

The IACR's secretary has written that he hopes the researchers and cultural policymakers of Iran will benefit from the findings of international researchers and research centers by taking advantage of the capabilities of research centers and cultural organizations in international relations and exchanges.

Mohammad Reza Bahmani has a PhD in Cultural Policy. Currently, he is a faculty member of the Center for Social and Civilizational Studies, Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy. He was formerly Advisor to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the development of cultural communication, the head of the Digital Media and Studies Technology Center, and the cultural deputy of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization. Currently, he is the deputy for developing scientific and cultural cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication. Some of Bahmani's works include the application of Social Science Theories in Cultural Policy Making, The Policy Model for the Expansion of International Cooperation of Religious Research Centers in Iran, Components and Indicators of Talent Management in Cultural Organizations, The Study of Religion From the Perspective of Contemporary Iranian Intellectual Currents and its Application in the Field of Cultural Policy; and The Evolution of Cultural Organizations in the Age of Internet.

The closing ceremony of the 16th IACR will be held in Research Week, according to the Iran calendar, in December 2023, and the winners will be introduced in the five areas of culture, art, media and communication, religious and Islamic research, and new technologies and cultural future research.
